Make sure to
contact your parish to start your wedding file and sign all necessary papers.
You will need to provide your parish with a certificate of Baptism and you will
need to sign several official forms.
Archdiocese of Denver:
Our course
satisfies
both the "step one" (theology of marriage and sexuality) and "step
three" ( “life-skills” session) according to the
requirements
of the Archdiocese.
Colorado Springs Diocese: The course satisfies
step four of the marriage preparation policy.
WHAT
TO EXPECT:
This is a Catholic Marriage Preparation course. Since you choose
to get married in the Catholic Church, you can expect to receive the teachings
of the Catholic Church in regards to marriage. You need to know what your
Catholic commitment entails.
As you are aware, one cannot
separate the spiritual aspect of ones life from its daily aspect. If you root
your relationship in Christ, your daily life will be affected, for the best!
We will of course give you specific communication and daily life skills tools
(last evening) but know that the best way to safeguard your marriage is to build
it on Christ. As he himself said in John 15:5 "Without me you can do
nothing."
Our goal is to give you what you cannot easily find. Communication skills
and financial advice can be found anywhere. The truth of the Catholic teachings
are harder to find!

Each session includes four Monday evenings in a row for Denver, four
Thursday evenings in a row for Colorado Springs. Classes last from
from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

5) CONFIRMATION

6) CERTIFICATE
At the end of the class you will receive
a certificate of attendance.
This certificate is to be given to the priest or deacon of the parish
where your wedding is to be celebrated.
